Doctor performing knee surgery

This fellowship offers in-depth training across all aspects of knee surgery, balancing clinical practice with research. Fellows gain extensive experience in arthroplasty, arthroscopy, sports reconstruction, and trauma.

Responsibilities include perioperative patient care, assisting and performing supervised surgeries, and conducting research culminating in a publishable project. Fellows participate in regular clinical and scientific meetings and contribute to teaching junior staff.

The program is based at three Sydney hospitals, providing exposure to complex trauma, elective surgery, and a variety of subspecialties. A dedicated skills center facilitates hands-on surgical training.

The Sydney Orthopaedic Research Institute Fellowships are accredited by the Australian Orthopaedic Association.
