Dr. Myles Coolican

FRACS, Orthopaedic Surgeon

Dr Myles Coolican

Dr Myles Coolican specialises in arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the knee. He has particular interests in total knee replacement and anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction. He performs these surgeries at Royal North Shore, North Shore Private and the Mater Misericordiae Hospitals in Sydney.

Dr Coolican has presented at over thirty national and international meetings of scientific societies and published over fifteen scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals.

Assoc Prof. David Parker

Dr Myles Coolican

Dr David Parker specialises in surgery of the knee joint, with particular interests in arthroscopic surgery, ligament reconstruction and knee replacement. He performs these surgeries at Royal North Shore, North Shore Private and the Mater Misericordiae Hospitalsin Sydney.

Dr Parker has presented at over twenty-five national and international meetings of scientific societies and published over twenty scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals and textbooks. He has been awarded six awards and fellowships.

Dr. Brett Fritsch

Dr Myles Coolican

Dr Brett Fritsch specialises in arthroscopic and replacement surgery of the knee. He has a particular interest in sports injuries of the knee, ligament reconstruction, cartilage and meniscal pathology of the knee, and patellar instability.

He has undertaken fellowships in Sports Surgery of the Knee and Shoulder at Duke University, North Carolina USA, and Advanced Shoulder Arthroscopy at the Alps Surgery Institute in Annecy, France.

Dr. Alex Nicholls

Dr Myles Coolican

Dr Alex Nicholls specialises in paediatric and adult knee conditions. He has particular interest in sports injuries, arthroscopic ligament reconstructions and managing arthritis in young and active patients.

He has completed fellowship training at The Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford UK. He currently performs surgery at The Mater Misericordiae Hospital, The Northern Beaches Hospital and The Children's Hospital at Westmead.

Dr. Jobe Shatrov

Dr Myles Coolican

Dr. Shatrov's journey to becoming a top orthopaedic knee surgeon started with academic brilliance, earning Dux in his final year at the University of Notre Dame. He continued this excellence by completing his training in 2019 and prestigious fellowships focused on cutting-edge techniques. From mastering robotic knee surgery at the FIFA Medical Centre to treating elite athletes' ACL injuries at Fortius Clinic, Dr. Shatrov honed his skills at the forefront of the field.

His dedication extends beyond the surgical suite. A passionate researcher and educator, Dr. Shatrov actively collaborates on advancements in robotic knee surgery and sports medicine. He shares his knowledge as a sought-after speaker and trains future generations of surgeons. Returning to Sydney, Dr. Shatrov will pursue a PhD, further solidifying his commitment to pushing the boundaries of orthopaedic knee surgery.
